OCALA, Fla., Feb 17 (LSN) – On Monday, at the behest of Marion County Judge Sandra Edward- Stephens, jury selection began in the trial of 24-year-old Florida resident, Andrew Love. Love, a record-store clerk, was charged with obscenity for wearing a T-shirt featuring a bare-breasted nun and calling Jesus a profane name. The T-shirt promoted the British “death metal” band “Cradle of Filth”. In November security officers at an Ocala shopping mall told Love to turn the garment inside out or leave, police arrived shortly thereafter to arrest him and confiscate the offensive shirt. Although never jailed on the misdemeanor charge, Love could face a fine of $1,000 and a year in jail if convicted.
