BROWARD COUNTY, Fla, Jan 15, 2001 (LSN.ca) – Broward County Commissioners were to draw up a list of nominees to head a new board of children’s services and submit the list to Gov. Jeb Bush for the final selection of 5 board members. Certain feminist commissioners made it a key point in the selection process to endorse only those who were pro-abortion.

The feminist commissioners did not shy away from confrontation when they were told it was improper to question prospects on their stand on abortion. The Sun-Sentinel reports Commissioner Lori Parrish as saying, “the question to me is key, very important. We have children giving birth to children and we must keep all options open, including abortion.”
