July 25, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) – While best known from the commercials for the popular My Pillow, entrepreneur Mike Lindell is also an outspoken conservative Christian. In a recent interview, he detailed how he plans to increase his political activity, leaving the door open to eventually running for office himself.

During a recent interview with journalist Sara Carter, Lindell said the “horrific” political aims of Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minnesota, made the Gopher State “ground zero” for America’s political future. One of the things he specifically criticized her for was promoting and participating in protests of local businesses such as an Amazon warehouse in the Minneapolis suburbs. “I hate to say it, but I have to agree with Amazon, with what they were trying to get them to do,” he said.

A Muslim congresswoman with doctrinaire left-wing stances on abortion and gender, Omar is controversial beyond her home state primarily for her history of anti-Semitic and anti-American statements, which have made her a focal point in the controversy over President Donald Trump and his supporters suggest she and a handful of other Democrat lawmakers leave the country. Questions continue to swirl around allegations she married her brother to commit immigration fraud, and that as a child her family used a false name to get asylum in the United States.

“And I will tell you this, I’m going to do so much in Minnesota over the next year and a half, you won’t even see any blue,” Lindell promised. “I just want the people to get to know the good things that are going on.”

He explained that he plans to hold “many” rallies across the state, bypassing the media and speaking directly to Minnesota residents “and educating them on the good things we’re doing” for the economy.

Carter asked Lindell if he is considering a political career of his own. “I’ve been asked that a million times,” he responded, “and you know what, if I prayed about it and God had me go that direction, I would do it in a heartbeat.” He did not indicate any near-term plans to do so, however.

My Pillow advertises on numerous conservative radio shows, and Lindell has refused to submit to left-wing pressure campaigns to boycott figures such as Laura Ingraham. He’s a supporter of President Trump, and invested $1 million in the pro-life film Unplanned (Lindell also has a brief cameo in the movie about Abby Johnson’s true conversion story).
