January 24, 2018 (LifeSiteNews) – Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-CA, has taped an appearance as a guest judge on a drag queen reality show that premieres its latest season tomorrow.
The VH1 show on which Pelosi will appear is RuPaul's Drag Race: All Stars 3. It is a spinoff of RuPaul's Drag Race, during which men dressed as women compete for a spot as the winning drag queen. The All Stars spinoff brings back past drag contestants for more competition.
A Pelosi spokesperson told The Washington Post that the 77-year-old Congresswoman agreed to judge the competition of men covered in makeup, wigs, and busty costumes “to show solidarity in the face of what she calls attacks against LGBT people by the Trump administration.”
Pelosi is also apparently a “fan of the show.”
“You betta werk!” she tweeted, linking to a tweet from head drag queen judge Ru Paul. Pelosi said she had a “fabulous” time with the drag queens and wished them luck during this season.
All I can say is, you betta werk! Had a fabulous time with @RuPaul and good luck to all the queens. #DragRace https://t.co/ZrJDyDmuVh
