SARAJEVO, Bosnia-Herzegovina Oct 1 (LSN) – In response to Serb TV broadcasts suggesting that the U.N. war crimes tribunal is anti-Serb, U.S. and other NATO-led troops yanked Bosnian Serb television off the air today. Bosnian Serb TV edited a tape of a news conference given by Canadian U.N. tribunal prosecutor Louise Arbour which they asserted was anti-Serb.
Even though the motive in this case may have been a noble one. Having NATO forces actively insure favourable appraisals of UN activities sets a dangerous precedent. Certain UN activities such as the implementation of global access to abortion on demand or other de-population measures may also be forcibly supported by military action.
