EUROPE, Dec 14 (LSN)  On Thursday the Dutch cabinet approved a measure to allow homosexual couples to marry and have all the same legal rights as a normal married couple. The cabinet issued a statement saying “Civil marriage will be made available to people of the same sex. It will be possible to transform existing registered partnerships into marriages.“Catholic World News reported that the bill is likely to pass by the full parliament since the Labour Party holds a majority of seats.  Last Wednesday, the French Assembly passed a similar bill called the Civil Pact of Solidarity (PACS). The bill, sponsored by homosexual activists, must be passed in the Senate before it is adopted. However, Zenit news services quoted Elizabeth Guigou, the Minister of Justice as saying “I believe we will adopt it before the end of 1999.”
