VANCOUVER, Feb 21 (LifeSiteNews) – Ujjal Dosanjh, went from being British Columbia’s attorney general to the province’s premier-elect Sunday by winning the New Democratic Party leadership race in a single ballot. However the change in command will likely not alter the anti-life and anti-family reputation B.C. has earned under New Democrat rule.

BC Report has said about Dosanjh that “[h]e is all in favour of allowing pro-homosexual literature into kindergarten, but wants restrictions on pro-life prayer near abortion clinics.” LifeSite coverage over the years bears out the accuracy of this observation.

In September 1997, LifeSite reported that Dosanjh called on the Federal Parliament to open the Canadian debate on euthanasia after his friend Dr. Thakore was “assisted” in his suicide by Jack Kevorkian. In February, 1998 LifeSite reported that Dosanjh brought in legislation allowing homosexual couples custody and access to children.
