OTTAWA, Feb 11 (Lifesitenews.com) On February 5, pro-life MP Rob Anders (Calgary West, Ref.) introduced Bill C-469, an act to amend the Canada Labour Code. It would allow union members to avoid being forced to contribute to political parties or causes against their will. Speaking on his bill Anders said “The Canada Labour Code affects over 700,000 employees (some) who do not believe they should be funding partisanship, who want to promote the sanctity of human life they do not want to be forced against their will to contribute to causes they do not believe in.”
The bill must be drawn from a hat or else supported by 100 MP’s in order to go before the House. Canadians who agree with the need for such legislation are encouraged to contact their MPs to draw their attention to the bill and to encourage them to sign on to the bill.
