ST JOHN’S, NB (Lifesitenews.com) – New Brunswick’s provincial election yesterday has given the province a large conservative majority government in place of the former Liberals. The Progressive Conservatives won 44 seats and the Liberals nine. The New Democrats remain largely shut out of the government in the Maritime province with only one candidate elected.

Pro-life questionnaires were distributed to Liberal and Tory candidates prior to the election, but few responses were received. None of the Tory respondents indicated themselves to be pro-abortion, while five claimed to be pro-life. Of the two elected Liberal respondents, one is pro-life and one pro-abortion.
