WICHITA, Kansas, January 17, 2012 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A new Internet-based campaign launched this week seeks to expose the legal and medical abuses perpetrated by abortionists and to demand enforcement of abortion facility regulations.

Operation Rescue has launched Pro-Life Nation, a website intended to implement a goal-oriented strategy to end abortion in the United States.

“Thirty-nine years after the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision unleashed the floodgate to decriminalized abortion at the cost of over 50 million innocent lives, we believe that we are very close to stopping abortion in America,” states the group in a booklet that it released as part of the new project. “A unified strategy within the pro-life movement could soon bring the final end to this unparalleled national scourge. “

Pro-life Nation’s first project, AbortionDocs.org, is a searchable database that endeavors to list every surgical abortion clinic, every “abortion pill-only” clinic, and every abortionist in the United States. The website says it contains the largest collection of documents ever compiled on the abortion industry.

Documents include photos, medical license applications, malpractice suits, disciplinary records, news articles, videos, criminal histories, and more.

Pro-Life Nation is looking to partner with key pro-life leaders to contribute to the Abortiondocs.org database so that the true scope of abortion abuses that occur daily in the U.S. can be documented and exposed to the American people.

“We believe that with the current climate in America, abortion could be eliminated every soon, if a goal-oriented strategy is employed that includes cooperation among various pro-life organizations and individuals,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman, who will also serve as president of Pro-Life Nation.

Newman said that, while Operation Rescue will exist as the activist arm of the group, most investigations will now be conducted under the banner of Pro-Life Nation. Operation Rescue has previously spearheaded several efforts to regulate or enforce regulations of abortion clinics across America found to be practicing sub-standard medicine.

“Through Pro-life Nation, we will enlist pro-life supporters across the nation to work together in new ways to expose and report abortion misdeeds, hold officials accountable for enforcing our laws, and build a society that is truly a Pro-Life Nation,” he said.
