WASHINGTON, D.C., January 6, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) – As the House of Representatives prepares to vote on a reconciliation measure that would cost Planned Parenthood most of its federal funding, the group that infiltrated the abortion industry is reminding people why the vote is so important.

“The undercover footage released in the past half-year by The Center for Medical Progress shows medical directors and executives from the top leadership of Planned Parenthood admitting the abortion business trades baby body parts for money and indicating the profit motive undergirding these illicit sales,” said CMP Lead Investigator David Daleiden.

To underscore their findings, CMP is releasing a new compilation of previous released video footage showing Planned Parenthood officials saying they hope to profit from the exchange.

Dr. Deborah Nucatola, who oversees medical practices at all Planned Parenthood affiliates nationwide, told CMP investigators that most of their offices would like to at least recoup their costs, “and if they can do a little more than break even and do so in a way that…seems reasonable, they're happy to do that.” Statements like those won Dr. Nucatola Operation Rescue's first Veritas award as the outstanding abortionist who inadvertently revealed an unseemly truth about abortion.

Dr. Savita Ginde, vice president of Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains, says she would prefer to be paid for each body part extracted, “because we can see how much we can get out of it.”

Trafficking in human body parts for a profit is also a federal felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a fine of $500,000.

Planned Parenthood officials have said that their “fetal tissue donation” program is limited to a handful of offices that receive only a reimbursement of their actual costs – which is allowed by law.

“To date, Planned Parenthood has offered no convincing explanation for the money that has poured into its affiliates from fetal tissue procurement companies like StemExpress, which performs the work of fetal tissue collection yet still pays abortion clinics per harvested part,” Daleiden said.

In response to the footage, Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards said affiliates would stop accepting “reimbursement” for furnishing biological companies with fetal organs and tissue.

“Planned Parenthood’s recent assurances that it has ceased accepting payment for fetal tissue are an admission of guilt and a last-ditch effort to avoid scrutiny for these indefensible transactions,” Daleiden said. “As Congress, the Health and Human Services Department, and numerous state and local law enforcement agencies continue to investigate Planned Parenthood’s barbaric abortion and baby body parts business, this footage is a clear reminder of why there is a broad public mandate for the investigations to continue and for public money to be reassigned from Planned Parenthood to ethical, mainstream medical organizations.”

The reconciliation measure is expected to pass the House today, but President Obama has promised to veto any bill targeting Planned Parenthood funding.
