(LifeSiteNews) — New York City Hall was turned into a tawdry, provocative transgender dance fest for city legislators as the NYC Council hosted its first pro-LGBT “Pride Ball.”

One male dancer after another was cheered on by members of the City Council as they pranced around pretending to be a female.

“NYC just hosted a “Queer Pride Ball” in the City Council Chambers,” the American Principles Project (APP) wrote on X.

“John Jay and Alexander Hamilton are turning in their graves right now,” suggested APP, a group that exists to protect American families.

“Outrageous!” declared conservative activist Brigitte Gabriel, founder and chairman of ACT for America. “New York City Council chambers (which) were once the seat of serious government are now reduced to a voguing stage for a transgender performer at an official Pride Ball.”

“Taxpayers are funding erotic dance routines in the People’s House while the city crumbles. This isn’t inclusion; it’s institutional embarrassment.”

“Council chambers used to mean something. As did the White House garden,” noted journalist Andy Ngo, who juxtaposed a video of the NYC Council’s Pride Ball with a photograph of a bare-breasted, gender-confused male at a pride celebration on the White House south lawn during a Biden administration pride event.

“Under Democrat control, nothing is above reproach,” Ngo added.

The New York City Council kicked off the month of June by unequivocally proclaiming its obeisance to homosexuality and transgender ideology.

“New York City’s history has been shaped by LGBTQIA+ New Yorkers – from the fight for civil rights and continued advocacy, to the culture and community-building that continue to move our city forward,” the NYC Council wrote in a June 1 post on X. “This Pride Month, the New York City Council celebrates that legacy and recommits to protecting LGBTQIA+ New Yorkers’ rights, safety, health, and dignity in every neighborhood.”
