Narnia film still attracting audiences – One News Now

‘Civil Rights’ Gone Wild – National Review
To the Civil Rights Division, pilgrimages and stiletto heels matter more than actual violations of the Civil Rights Act.

Liberal Sen. Celine Hervieux-Payette wants to ban spanking

tabled bill S-204 which would repeal section 43 of the Criminal Code. Section 43 allows teachers, parents or a person standing in the place of a parent to use force as a means of discipline “if the force does not exceed what is reasonable under the circumstances.” Force could include picking up a child and removing them from a situation against their will.

Psychology and the Shrinking of America
– American Thinker
I was shocked to find out how many professions had been infiltrated by the far left.  The mainstream media, Hollywood moguls, and the universities were willing tools of progressivism. But there is an occupation just as culpable in ushering in cultural Marxism, though its contributions are far less well-known.  For this profession, I don’t have to look further than my own backyard—that is, psychotherapy.

What I have discovered after researching the history of psychology is that the originators were not simply interested in fixing people.  Many were hard-bent on revolutionizing the West. The motivation of some of the players has been to replace Judeo-Christian values with secular humanism.  Others unleashed the sexual revolution to feed their own prurience.  And the more nefarious characters were intent on force-feeding cultural Marxism to an unknowing public.

Marketing ‘Climate Change’
– American Thinker
A good indicator that a movement ostensibly based on so-called scientific facts has run out of steam is when that crusade must openly resort to crass marketing techniques to sell a flawed product.  So now the environmental activists, not willing to give up on an enormous source of money from government grants and extortion, have come up with a myriad of approaches to try to make the climate change argument attractive.

97% cooked stats, Lawrence Solomon – National Post
The ‘scientific consensus’ about global warming turns out to have a lot more to do with manipulating the numbers. Two researchers obtained their results by conducting a survey of 10,257 Earth scientists. The survey results must have deeply disappointed the researchers — in the end, they chose to highlight the views of a subgroup of just 77 scientists, 75 of whom thought humans contributed to climate change.  The ratio 75/77 produces the 97% figure that pundits now tout.

Ezra Klein “Constitution has no binding power on anything.”
