(LifeSiteNews) — Following confirmation by officials at the Australian Open tennis tournament last month that COVID jabs will be required of all players, tennis superstar Novak Djokovic’s father said it would be likely that his son would skip the tournament due to the mandate.

Much debate has surrounded the Serbian tennis phenomenon regarding the upcoming tournament Down Under as pressure from the state government in Victoria, where the championship is to be held, began mounting on event organizers to require inoculation against the novel coronavirus before permitting anybody to participate.

Tennis Australia, the authority overseeing the Australian Open, confirmed in a ruling last month that the January games would be closed to anyone who has not received one of the abortion-tainted jabs.

Despite his title as the world’s number one tennis star, tournament CEO Craig Tiley said that no exceptions to the rule will be given, even for the top seed.

“We would love to see Novak here, he knows that he’ll have to be vaccinated to play here,” Tiley said.

Following the strict ruling, Djokovic’s father, Srdjan, told Serb TV that “[u]nder these blackmails and conditions,” his famous son “probably won’t [play].”

“I wouldn’t do that. And he’s my son, so you decide for yourself,” he added.

Srdjan appeared to support his son’s decision to keep his “vaccine status” private, saying, “As far as vaccines and non-vaccines are concerned, it is the personal right of each of us whether we will be vaccinated or not … No one has the right to enter into our intimacy.”

The 34-year-old star player has refused to bow to industry and media pressure to reveal whether he has received an experimental COVID shot, stating his conviction in October that such decisions ought to remain private.

“I will not reveal my status whether I have been vaccinated or not, it is a private matter and an inappropriate inquiry”

Djokovic argued that “[p]eople go too far these days in taking the liberty to ask questions and judge a person. Whatever you say ‘Yes, no, maybe, I am thinking about it,’ they will take advantage.”

Earlier in the year, the sportsman said he has “always believed in freedom of choice,” adding that he “will keep the decision as to whether I’m going to get vaccinated or not to myself.”

The nine-time Australian Open champion was pressed about the possibility of his appearance at next year’s tournament following his team’s exit from the Davis Cup, which concluded Sunday.

The dangerous ideas of Critical Race Theory (CRT) are being forced on students in public schools around the country.

This is wrong and parents have had enough! It's time to join them in saying "STOP!" to this harmful and racist propaganda.

Please SIGN and SHARE this urgent petition which says "No to CRT" in public schools, and "Yes to parents' right" to strongly protest CRT.

But, what is CRT anyway and why is it so dangerous?

Critical Race Theory is a hateful system of indoctrination which teaches that one race is either superior or inferior to another race, and that the United States is inherently racist.

CRT is dangerous and hateful precisely because it teaches children who are not white to despise and envy white children simply because of their skin color. And, as a result, it also teaches white children to despise themselves simply because of the color of their skin.

CRT also erroneously teaches that American society is inherently racist, and that different, detrimental policies (like reparations for slavery and race-based pay scales) should be imposed on the population to redistribute wealth from whites to non-whites.

This type of racist/marxist propaganda should have NO place in public, taxpayer-funded schools!

And, thankfully, American parents of EVERY COLOR are raising their voices and ballots against it!

Indeed, parents understand the destructive ramifications of CRT and, despite outrageous threats from Biden's Justice Department to prosecute them, they have been strongly protesting CRT at school board meetings across the country!

And now, in the first test of its kind, a candidate who was campaigning hard against CRT just won the governorship of Virginia in a huge upset victory.

That's great news, but we now need to contact every state legislature about this crucial educational issue.

And, we need to DEMAND that they BAN Critical Race Theory from every public school in their states - both primary and high schools, and colleges!

Whereas advocates of CRT seem more intent on vengence than on teaching children of every race to respect everybody, regardless of skin color, American parents of every race understand that it is not the color of one's skin that matters, but the content of one's character (to paraphrase Martin Luther King, Jr.).

Please SIGN and SHARE this urgent petition asking all state legislatures to BAN Crititical Race Theory from public schools in their respective states.

Thank you!

“You will be informed. I know what you want. I’m not going to give you an answer. I know what you want to ask me. But you will be informed. That’s all I can tell you. I cannot give you any date,” Djokovic answered.

“Obviously Australia is around the corner, so you will know very soon.”

Djokovic did reveal his inclination not to take the jab back in April as part of a Facebook live video with fellow Serbian athletes, saying, “Personally I am opposed to vaccination and I wouldn’t want to be forced by someone to take a vaccine in order to be able to travel.”

“But if it becomes compulsory, what will happen? I will have to make a decision. I have my own thoughts about the matter and whether those thoughts will change at some point, I don’t know.”

Djokovic has previously stated his conviction as a man of faith, in 2011 saying his Christian identity is “the most important title of my life, because before being an athlete, I am an Orthodox Christian.”

The Serbian Orthodox Church, to which Djokovic belongs, has publicly declared a position on the currently available jabs. Members of the hierarchy, however, have notably not been wearing face masks in public and kept their churches open throughout the coronavirus crisis while Catholic churches around the world were closed for many months at the order of the bishops.
