TERRACE, B.C., Jan 8 (LifeSiteNews.com)  Following the recent adolescent “Spice Girl” craze, girls in public schools have taken to indecent exposure in the classroom. While this trend is well established across the country, very few school officials have the sense or courage to recognize and address the problem. (Of course they wouldn’t have to deal with the problem in many cases if it was first addressed in the students’ homes.) Objections are so infrequent as to make one attempt to curb the immodesty national news.

CBC News reported this morning about Caledonia Senior Secondary School in British Colombia where Principal Geoff Straker sent home a letter to parents asking them to monitor the dress of their daughters. An excerpt from the letter home reads: “There is also concern about some of the outfits worn by some of the female students. We would ask that beachwear not be worn to school. Current fashion seems to dictate that spaghetti straps, low cleavage and bare midriff is the norm … it is not the preferred dress for school.  Check to see what your child is wearing to school each day.”
