OTTAWA, November 13, 2001 (LSN.ca) – A website on sex information targeting teens and administered by the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada is misleading young people regarding the abortifacient nature of the morning after pill. Despite the fact that it is well known that the pills are abortifacient – (act to prevent implantation of an embryo in the womb) the prestigious society deceives teens calling the pill “emergency contraception” and saying, “EC is a simple and safe way to prevent pregnancy when you forget to use protection. They say that it “works to delay/prevent ovulation, and can be taken up to 3 days after sex.”

The site advocates masturbation and goes so far as to encourage those who may believe themselves to be homosexual to consider “joining activist groups.”
