SYDNEY, May 31 ( – Just days after the news of a similar proposal regarding abortion,  Austalian euthanasia activist Philip Nitschke said Wednesday he plans to euthanize people on a boat anchored in internatinoal waters.  Wanting to thwart laws against euthanasia, Nitschke, the Australian Dr. Death, said he had sought legal counsel on the death-ship idea and had parties interested in supporting the venture.

Agence France Presse reports that Nitschke was in London, England this week to display his “Death Machine” at the Science Museum.  The museum explained its acceptance of the death dealing contraption saying “Our aim in acquiring the euthanasia machine is to stimulate thoughtful and responsible public debate about the issue.”
