The Toronto Sun reported today that many Ontario Tory MPPs believe it is time for the government to deal with some of the social issues, after having focused exclusively on economics in the first part of its mandate. Tory MPP Frank Klees stated that the Progessive Conservative government is in a position to make a difference “in the quality of life in the province.” He would like to see a law that would protect health-  care workers who refuse on moral or religious grounds to participate in certain procedures like abortions, and legislation recognizing the authority of parents to oversee the health-care treatment of their minor children.
