(LifeSiteNews) – A bill introduced in the Ontario legislature by Independent MPP Roman Baber that bans employers from firing employees who decline COVID-19 vaccines was blocked by the provincial government of Premier Doug Ford.
In a video message posted to Twitter, Baber said it was with “sadness” that he had to convey his “Jobs and Jabs” bill was not moved forward to second or third reading on Tuesday.
“It was blocked, and it wasn’t blocked by the NDP. Ironically, it was blocked by the conservatives,” Baber tweeted.
Baber noted that he was not able to name “every conservative” who objected to the bill, but he clearly made out MPP Paul Calandra.
“Paul Calandra, Doug Ford’s government house leader, just blocked the bill, thereby sentencing potentially hundreds of thousands of people to unemployment,” Baber said.
“I cannot convey the sadness that I’m feeling right now. We worked so hard, and my staff worked so hard, and we put so much pressure on them. And we even had media help, and I can’t believe them.”
Baber blasted Ford but vowed he is “going to come back in December to have second reading.”
“Even though it didn’t work out today, I’m going to continue to fight for you,” Baber said. “I can’t believe the injustice of forcing someone to make a choice between their health and putting food on the table.”
When announcing his “Jobs and Jabs Act 2021” in September, Baber said the bill is needed because “over the next few months countless Ontarians will lose their jobs and their ability to put food on the table, because of a personal choice. And while their choice is different than I, and the choice that many Ontarians made, we all agree that it’s still a choice.”
Baber said that his proposed Jobs and Jabs Act 2021 would also ban employers from firing those who refuse to disclose their “vaccination status.”
Since the initial announcement of his intentions to bring forth his private members bill, Baber has continued to ask people to sign his petition, which calls on Ford “[t]o immediately reconvene the Legislature and pass the Jobs and Jabs Act 2021.”
Baber was booted from the Progressive Conservative Party by Ford for opposing COVID lockdowns earlier in the year. While Baber has had the COVID jabs, he opposes them being mandated.
At the provincial level, all hospitals and schools have been encouraged to come up with strict jab policies that requires COVID testing for those who are not injected despite the fact that some doctors have said natural immunity is best.
It is now known that people who have taken the experimental COVID-19 jabs can still contract and spread the disease. COVID vaccine trials have never produced evidence that vaccines stop infection or transmission. They do not even claim to reduce hospitalization, but the measurement of success is in preventing severe symptoms of COVID-19.
Dr. Peter McCullough, M.D, an eminent internist and cardiologist from the United States, recently affirmed that against COVID-19 “(for) people under 50 who fundamentally have no health risks, there’s no scientific rationale for them to ever become vaccinated.”
He also said that those who develop COVID have “complete and durable immunity. And (that’s) a very important principle: complete and durable. You can’t beat natural immunity.”
While there is not yet a province-wide mandate for all healthcare workers to be jabbed, some of Ontario’s health boards have taken it upon themselves to implement mandates.
At the provincial level, all hospitals and schools have been encouraged to come up with strict jab policies that require COVID testing for those who are not injected.
Some large municipalities such as Toronto have mandated the jabs for all city workers.
Also yesterday, the Canadian federal government under Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that all federal workers must be jabbed by the end of October or they will lose their jobs.
Last week, 172 employees from Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare (HDGH) and Windsor Regional Hospital (WRH) were suspended without pay for refusing to get the experimental COVID injections.
The COVID-19 injections approved for emergency use in Canada, including the Pfizer jab for ages 12 and up, all have connections to cells derived from aborted babies.
All four have also been associated with severe side effects such as blood clots, rashes, miscarriages, and even heart attacks in young, healthy men.
