Ontario sex-ed consultation ends Dec. 15. Parents, act now
TORONTO, December 14, 2018 (LifeSiteNews) – Time is about to run out for Ontario parents to provide the provincial government with feedback about the Wynne-Levin sex education program.
The deadline for the government’s consultation period is December 15.
“We have until Saturday, December 15 to protect Ontario’s children from being sexualized and radicalized with liberal ideology,” said Jeff Gunnarson of Campaign Life Coalition (CLC) in a letter to supporters.
“That’s the deadline to give your feedback to the Doug Ford government about what should be included or excluded from the new Ontario sex ed curriculum that will be developed, based on parental consultation,” he continued.
“This is your final chance to tell the government that you don’t want the harmful theory of gender identity taught to 8-yr-olds, that you don’t want anal sex to be discussed with 12-yr-olds, and so much other dangerous liberal indoctrination.”
Because the telephone town halls have been completed, there are only three remaining methods by which parents can make their views known.
“We ask you to please provide feedback using all of the remaining vehicles, so that your opinions are counted 3 times,” said Gunnarson.
“By clicking each vehicle below, you will be taken to a CLC web page where we walk you through how to answer strategically,” he added. “We will also provide you with suggested talking points that you can tailor in your own words.
The vehicles are:

Gunnarson begged readers not to procrastinate and asked them to use all three methods.
“If you’ve already given your feedback through one of the consultation mechanisms, please do the other two,” he wrote.
“We know for a fact that the government will analyze all feedback streams, and that our side must dominate in every single one of them.”
Unfortunately, there are still teachers, parents, and even businesses who favor the sex-ed program.
Last week, the streaming service Netflix Canada commented on the dialing back of the sex-ed, telling children they can “‘learn’ about sex” by watching its sexually explicit content.
“Since the Ontario sex-ed curriculum has gone back in time, you can ‘learn’ about sex the way teens in the ‘90s did: all the American Pie movies are now on Netflix,” tweeted the streaming company on Dec. 5.
The tweet referred to a decision of Ontario’s new Progressive Conservative government — led by Doug Ford — to rollback former premier Kathleen Wynne’s sex-education program after outrage from parents of all backgrounds and faith traditions. Wynne is the former leader of the Liberal party. Under her leadership, the party was soundly defeated in the June 2018 election.
Critics of the Liberals’ sex-ed curriculum say it destroys children’s innocence by exposing them to sexual concepts at too early an age, and that it presents gender theory as fact.
The curriculum introduces homosexuality in Grade 3, masturbation in Grade 6, oral and anal sex in Grade 7, and teaches there are six genders — male, female, two-spirited, transgender, transsexual and intersex — rather than two biological sexes. Nowhere in the curriculum is sexual activity connected to love and marriage.
Jack Fonseca, Director of Political Operations for Campaign Life Coalition, told LifeSiteNews that it is crucial for conservatives to ensure that Premier Doug Ford keeps his promise to keep the Wynne curriculum out of schools.
“It is absolutely vital that parents and other concerned citizens participate in this consultation process using all three of the remaining vehicles that the government has provided to give it feedback,” he said.
“Our children’s psychological, spiritual, and physical health depend on parents convincing Doug Ford to honor his promise of a total repeal of this child-sexualizing curriculum.”
