TORONTO (LifeSiteNews) – A phone conversation between Ontario Premier Doug Ford and the person who recorded it suggests that Ontario will be dropping the vaccine apartheid system “very soon.”

Rebel News broke the story and said that the secretly recorded phone call was provided by a Ford supporter.

During the phone call, Premier Ford said: “We’re pulling these passports. We’re going to get back to normal. I can’t get you the exact date, but it’s going to be very soon. I’ll be speaking over the next few days. Friday I’m going to put out a statement. Monday I’ll be giving some dates. And we’re going to move forward.”

This latest flip-flop comes after news broke of Ford’s government going after the funding for the Freedom Convoy by way of a court injunction.

Ford said he was flooded with phone calls from opponents of the vaccine passport and had received hundreds before lunch.

The removal of vaccine mandates is one of the demands of the Freedom Convoy, and although Ford did not mention the truckers during his phone call, he has come under heavy political fire as truckers and their supporters continue to block the “Ambassador Bridge,” a key Canada-U.S. border crossing in his province.

Public opinion has shifted in favour of dropping restrictions since the Freedom Convoy began, and politicians are under pressure to remove draconian COVID policies.

Ford is set to announce more details on Friday.
