OTTAWA, Oct 1 (LSN) – Sharon Hayes, Reform MP for the British Columbia riding of Port Moody- Coquitlam, announced today that she is resigning her seat because of the need to care for her sick husband. Mr. Hayes suffered a serious stroke during the June election campaign.

Mrs. Hayes has been among the strongest and most outspoken defenders of life and family in Canada’s federal Parliament. Her influence in Parliament will be greatly missed by like-minded fellow MPs and by the members of Canada’s pro-life, pro-family movement.
