December 16, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) – Media is one of the most powerful tools we have to inform, influence, and engage culture changers. Those who oppose us understand that extremely well. You’ve seen the way the mainstream media has been aggressively manipulating the culture with their sophisticated fake news.

However, because of the readers who support our mission financially, our journalists are positively influencingnot manipulating, the culture every day. Most recently, it was our supporters that allowed LifeSite to be at the helm of this kind of influence as our journalists reported on developments related to James Younger.

But, bringing stories like James's into the limelight through this kind of high-quality reporting requires significant resources. Would you prayerfully consider a gift of $200, $100, $50, or even just $35 to enable us to continue to do just this?

Our supporters’ generosity enabled us to send a member of our team, Maddie, to report on the ground in Dallas and attend court hearings on his case.

Because of the LifeSite giving family, we were the ONLY international pro-life and pro-family news organization to do this kind of on-the-ground reporting.
Maddie's perspective as she reported in Texas is a testament to how our generous supporters, framed the narrative on James:

After sitting in the courtroom listening to the expert witnesses and testimonies, my heart truly breaks for the father and everyone involved in this case. It was painstaking to hear witnesses refer to this little boy as ‘Luna’ and ‘she.’ A statement that really stood out to me was, “She is Luna when she wears a dress and he is James when he wears boys' clothes.” Aren’t we talking about the same human being? The same 7-year-old?

It was an honor to represent LifeSiteNews in the courtroom all week and I am truly grateful to all the supporters who have made our on-the-ground reporting like this possible. Because of their generosity, we were the only pro-life and pro-family news agency in the courtroom.

It was vital for me to attend so that we could report on the dangerous insanity being pushed by the anti-family culture first-hand. Family court records aren’t as easily accessible as those of civil court – journalists and investigators need to be present to truly understand. In this case, I was one of only two reporters for the duration of the trial.

The mainstream media wasn’t in the courtroom. LifeSiteNews was.
And we were there in that courtroom when the judge shamed Mr. Younger, the father, for involving the media and made it very clear from the beginning she didn’t want us there. What exactly was she afraid of? The truth?

Other news sources eventually followed suit reporting on this crucial news development and it went viral! Because your support enabled me to be there in the courtroom, other news sources turned to LifeSite as the expert on the story, reaching out to us for interviews and commentary. This story would have otherwise gone unnoticed and been ignored by media, had LifeSite not covered it.

Because of the generosity we receive for our breaking news reporting, our readers are the most well-informed in the world, especially on stories like James Younger.

And thanks to our supporters, Mr. Younger’s parental rights weren’t stripped away in secret.

LifeSiteNews has an incredible reach – so large that even the Texas government took notice and has now stepped in to investigate the case. Now, state legislators are proposing laws to prevent medical gender ‘transitions’ for children under 18.

Our supporters and petition signers helped make this possible!

It is so important for us to report from the scene so we can get the stories straight from the source and out to our readers (like you!) quickly to make this kind of positive change possible.

We need your help to continue reporting on stories like his. With a gift of $200, $100, $50, or $35 you can combat the silence of mainstream media and give a voice to the voiceless.

In the case of James Younger, LifeSiteNews was mentioned and cited by major mainstream media networks – The Washington Post, New York Times, National Review, The Federalist, and Breitbart – to name a few.

Our reporter, Maddie, was even interviewed by a few radio stations, and Matt Walsh even Tweeted about LifeSite’s reporting on the case.

This wasn’t the first time we controlled the narrative and found the mainstream media looking to us as the experts.

And yet, we are faced with certain financial realities to run an important news service such as this – demands for reporters and equipment, state-of-the-art website and servers which allow for millions of pageviews to be efficiently processed each month, fighting censorship across social media platforms, going head to head with the mainstream media Goliaths…the list goes on and on.
At one point, our editorial team was discussing the amount of traffic on our website and how quickly this story went viral amidst our reporting on James. Within 20 minutes of the most important breaking story being posted, it received over 10,000 Facebook shares!
Just 24 hours after that story was published, over 1 million people had read it.

Without our reporting on developments related to life, marriage, family, faith and freedom, the mainstream media’s bias will win.

We rely on your generosity to be able to continue our reporting to spread the truth across the world at a time when our world so desperately needs it. Can I count on you to help us continue to spread the truth?
A gift of $500, $100, $50 or $35 today will help us continue to reach millions with life-affirming, high quality pro-life and pro-family journalism!
