TORONTO, May 7, 2015 (LifeSiteNews.com) — The Toronto District School Board (TDSB) is once again facing heat from angry parents for having another explicit sex brochure from the AIDS Committee of Toronto containing detailed information about BDSM activities show-up in one of its public schools, this time at a school-wide mental health fair.

The 48-page booklet titled “BDSM – Safer Kinky Sex” (WARNING: extremely graphic content) gives explicit information on violent, savage, and inhuman sexual practices including electrocuting, whipping, and cutting with a scalpel the so-called sex-partner. The booklet’s front cover showcases what looks to be a man covered entirely in crude oil with his legs spread apart wearing goggles and a gas mask.

“I’m too shocked to be angry, to be quite honest,” said the Toronto mom, who asked not to be named, during a radio interview with Newstalk 1010 host John Moore. The mom contacted the radio show with the story after her teenage daughter brought the pamphlet home yesterday after school.

The mom said she was not informed that the school was having a health and safety workshop and she was certainly not informed that her daughter would be exposed to workshops with sexual content.

“The thing that bothers me, the thing that does upset me, is that they’re bunching all the kids together, and they’re saying, ‘You’re in this age-range, or you’re in high school, if you don’t know about this stuff you should know about this stuff,’ and I don’t know if that’s their call to make, especially when they’re not considering the emotional maturity these kids,” she said.

“They’re just saying, ‘OK fine, we’re going to give you this information and what you do with it is up to you.’ That is not responsible.”

The mom said her daughter spoke of other obscene material that she saw at the fair but did not bring home because she knew “we would be upset.”

The Criminal Code on sexual exploitation offenses against children states that anyone who “makes, prints, publishes, distributes, circulates or has in his possession for the purpose of publication, distribution or circulation any obscene written matter, picture, model, phonograph record or other thing whatever” commits the offence of “corrupting morals.”

TDSB spokesman Ryan Bird told NewsTalk 1010 that he did not have answers about how the pamphlet showed up at the event that hosted about two dozen health-and-safety organizations. He said the board is looking into the matter.

In May 2013 the Toronto police investigated a TDSB grade 7-8 teacher after he posted graphic sex brochures on his classroom wall, also from the AIDS Committee of Toronto, titled “Use Your Head When Giving It: Blow Job Tips.” After originally being sent home by the TDSB, the teacher was eventually reinstated. The TDSB gave no reason for the reinstatement except to defend the teacher for having “good intentions.”
