September 21, 2012 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Billionaire socialite Paris Hilton is making gushing apologies after celebrity gossip site Radar Online published an audio recording of private comments she made to a homosexual friend noting the rampant promiscuity and ill health effects associated with the ‘gay’ lifestyle.
In response to her friend’s explanation of a homosexual anonymous hookup app called “Grindr,” Hilton is recorded as saying “Eww…gay guys are the horniest people in the world. They’re disgusting.”
Her interlocutor agrees, saying “Gay guys are too much.”
“Dude, most of them probably have AIDS,” Hilton went on. “I would be so scared if I was a gay guy.”
Hilton’s comments were widely reported by the mainstream media, generating expressions of outrage by homosexuals and others who sympathize with the homosexual subculture. Although she initially defended her statements as a criticism of promiscuity and not homosexual behavior in general, she soon issued a groveling statement directly to the powerful Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), saying she felt “absolutely horrible” for her statements and that she is a “huge supporter” of the “gay community.”
“I am so sorry and so upset that I caused pain to my gay friends, fans, and their families with the comments heard this morning,” wrote Hilton, adding that the recording was taken out of context, but nonetheless “I cannot put into words how much I wish I could take back every word.”
“Gay people are the strongest and most inspiring people I know,” Hilton gushed. “It is so wrong when people bully or put down others for being gay. No one should have to go through that. Again, I am so sorry from the bottom of my heart and feel absolutely horrible. I hope that everyone can accept my apology and know that it is not who I am or how I feel in any way.”
Hilton’s mea culpa notwithstanding, the statements she made were not far from the truth, according to researchers. Numerous studies have indicated that sexually-active homosexuals have sky-high rates of promiscuity, and that between ten and twenty percent of homosexuals in major urban areas are infected with HIV, the virus that causes AIDS. They also have significantly elevated levels of Human Papiloma Virus (HPV) infection, anal cancer, hepatitis, and other diseases. Approximately 75% of AIDS victims are “Men who have Sex with Men” (MSM) according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control.
