WASHINGTON, June 13 (LifeSiteNews.com) – US Defense Secretary William Cohen blasted the proposed United Nations International Criminal Court. Cohen told reporters that such a human rights court would be “intolerable” to the US unless it contained an exception for countries with a “respected judicial system” such as the US. United Press International reports that Cohen was concerned that “frivolous” charges could be brought forward. Cohen does not want “a totally independent international court that is not under the jurisdiction, supervision or is in any way influenced, obligated or accountable to a supervisory institution like the U.N. Security Council.”
