DES MOINES, IA, June 1, 2015 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A Planned Parenthood facility that reportedly called itself “myHealth Express” and said it existed for “treatment of colds and the flu” has closed.

“We just learned that Planned Parenthood will longer house themselves in the same office building as the Young Women’s Resource Center” in Des Moines, Iowa Right to Life Executive Director Jenifer Bowen reported on May 21.

The facility referred women for abortions.

“When we first sounded the alarm in 2013 regarding this dangerous location, we knew that we must share this truth as often as we could,” Bowen said. “The lives of our young girls were at stake.”

Bowen said she was “relieved and grateful to hear this news and share it,” but noted that “16 unborn babies in Iowa are still dying every single day at the hands of Planned Parenthood of the Heartland, the largest abortion provider in our great state.”

“This is the 13th clinic that has closed in recent years,” she added. At the same time, the number of abortions in Iowa dropped by approximately one-third between 2007 and 2013.

Bowen reported that nine clinics still perform abortions in Iowa, while four locations provide abortion referrals. “We will not relent until all human lives, born and unborn, are again fully protected,” she vowed.
