WASHINGTON, D.C., June 19, 2012, (LifeSiteNews.com) – Mitt Romney’s campaign stops often feature a variety of dignitaries: state politicians, local campaign managers, and business leaders affected by his policies. But from now on, Romney’s speeches will have another visitor: a woman dressed, on behalf of Planned Parenthood, as a giant box of birth control pills.

The mifepristone mascot, whom the organization has dubbed “Pillamina,” debuted in 2010 to fight for the inclusion of contraception, abortifacients, and sterilization without a co-pay under the Obama administration’s health care reform law.

To celebrate that legislative victory, the industry released a YouTube video of Pillamina doing a Bollywood-style Hindi dance.

Now, she has reemerged shortly after the abortion giant endorsed Barack Obama and purchased $1.4 million of anti-Romney ads.

Contraception is “an economic issue for women – period,” Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards told The Hill newspaper. “That’s something that President Obama clearly understands, and that Mitt Romney simply doesn’t.”

The former Massachusetts governor has said he opposes federal funding of Richards’ organization, which accounts for nearly half of Planned Parenthood’s revenues. “Planned Parenthood [funding]? We’re going to get rid of that,” he famously stated on the campaign trail.

Taxpayers donated $487.4 million of Planned Parenthood’s billion-dollar budget in 2010 alone.
