NEW YORK, New York, April 12, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) – Planned Parenthood is honoring Hillary Clinton as “Champion of the Century” and the creator of a TV show that set its main character's abortion to Silent Night with the “Champion of Change Award” at a 100th anniversary gala in May.
The award will thank Clinton for “40 years of service to women and girls in this country,” according to a press release from the abortion company.
The “Champion of Change Award” is going to Shonda Rhimes, creator of Scandal, for “revolutionizing the way women and issues of reproductive health — including safe, legal abortion — are portrayed on television.” The political drama has promoted federal funding of Planned Parenthood and its contraception programs. Its most pro-abortion episode featured the main character, slightly smiling, aborting the president's baby while Silent Night is played. Afterward, she drinks wine and looks at a Christmas tree while Ave Maria plays.
“This Gala will be an opportunity to pause and celebrate the 100 years that Planned Parenthood has been a part of the fabric of this city and the entire nation, and to kick off our next century of breaking down barriers and expanding opportunities,” said Joan Malin, president and CEO of Planned Parenthood of New York City.
Clinton touted her support of abortion on demand throughout her 2016 presidential campaign. Last year, the Democratic party platform became the most extreme it has ever been regarding abortion. It called for taxpayer-funded abortion on demand in the United States and abroad.
There will be over 1,000 attendees at the gala.
