FLAGSTAFF, AZ, February 18, 2014 (LifeSiteNews.com) – The announcement that a Flagstaff Planned Parenthood would resume chemical abortions has a pro-life watchdog concerned that the facility may cover up statutory rape.

The Flagstaff Health Center had stopped offering abortion-inducing drugs nearly two-and-a-half years ago. The Planned Parenthood office found itself the casualty of a 2011 pro-life law requiring a doctor to administer the potentially dangerous drug in person.

The law reduced the number of statewide outlets distributing the drug from 11 to three. But the abortion provider was able to find a local doctor willing to distribute the abortifacient one day a week.

That concerns pro-life watchdogs, who caught the facility covering up the rape of a 13-year-old girl in a sting operation more than a decade ago.

The new Planned Parenthood office is located at 2420 Woodlands Village Blvd., inside a shopping center near Northern Arizona University.

In 2002, Life Dynamics had a woman posing as a young minor call the facility, which was then located at Riordan Ranch Street.

“I'll be 14 next month,” the woman said. “But my boyfriend's 22. Could he – is he old enough to take care of it and you wouldn't have to tell anybody?”

The abortion facility worker replied, “Well, we don't have to inform your parents, no.”

The minor asked again later, “It's just, we were not wanting anyone to know all about us. Would he have to sign any papers if he was paying for it?”

The worker, who said her name was Melody, responded, “No.” (You may listen to the full phone call here.)

“The abortion lobby is engaged in a pedophile protection racket and protecting pedophiles who rape underage girls,” Mark Crutcher of Life Dynamics said. “These abortion clinics receive money from the federal government. We are literally paying for the rape of our young daughters.”

Crutcher called abortionists' decision to cover up statutory rape “the largest criminal conspiracy in American history.”

Planned Parenthood Arizona President Bryan Howard said he was happy to be “reintroducing the care.”

A nurse practitioner at Planned Parenthood’s Flagstaff Health Center, Beth Otterstein, told local media that Planned Parenthood had cornered the market on chemical, or medical abortion in Arizona. “We are the single provider of this legal service in this part of Arizona. There aren’t doctor’s offices that are doing the same type of thing.”

Thanks to new legislation, the abortion-inducing pill can only be administered during the first seven weeks of pregnancy, effective April 1.
