WASHINGTON, D.C., April 27, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) — A new analysis of Planned Parenthood's last 10 years of annual reports shows that it is losing clients, closing facilities and dramatically reducing health services, but it continues to increase abortions while more than doubling its taxpayer funding since 2004.

National pro-life organization Live Action summarized its analysis in a new two-minute video.

From Planned Parenthood's 2005-06 annual report (2004 statistics) to its most recent one in 2014-15, the numbers show that breast exams are down 60 percent, Pap tests are down 77 percent, and total cancer screenings are down 68 percent. Yet during that same period, forced taxpayer funding has more than doubled to $553 million a year and abortions are up 27 percent.

Client numbers have also declined from three million in 2011 to 2.5 million in 2017, according to Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards' own statements.

“The fact that Planned Parenthood's client numbers are decreasing and its breast exams and Pap tests are down 60 and 77 percent while abortions are up 27 percent is more evidence that Planned Parenthood's focus is abortion, not women's healthcare. Planned Parenthood is offering less healthcare to less women, yet its taxpayer funding has doubled over the last 10 years,” said Lila Rose, president and founder of Live Action.

“Congress and President Trump can't let the current 2017 budget reconciliation bill expire without ending the forced taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood. Every day we delay, $1.5 million flows from taxpayers to the abortion chain, and that money allows it to keep its doors open daily to poison, dismember, and starve to death another 887 preborn children,” she said.

She continued, “Former Planned Parenthood managers have provided testimonials about how the abortion giant uses quotas to push cash-making abortions, doesn’t provide the healthcare it claims it does, and ‘treats women like cattle.’

“America’s women and children deserve better, and Washington must ensure that taxpayer money spent on healthcare for women is actually spent on healthcare, not on keeping the doors to America’s largest abortion chain open. Congress and President Trump must immediately redirect the hundreds of millions in taxpayer subsidies now going to Planned Parenthood to thousands of community health centers that provide more access and more healthcare for women and their families and that don’t commit 320,000 abortions every year.”
