TAMPA, Apr 24 (LSN) – A poll conducted by Mason-Dixon Political/Media Research for several Florida newspapers revealed a majority of voters favoured a ban on partial-birth abortion and an assurance that parents should be notified when their children seek abortions. The survey of 813 registered voters indicated that 48 percent of respondents want the horrific late-term abortion procedure banned while only 36 per cent oppose a ban. On parental notification before minors could commit abortions, 70 percent deemed it necessary, whereas 20 percent disagreed. The poll, released yesterday, had a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percent.
