VATICAN, Mar 22 (LSN.ca) – Pope John Paul II addressed the participants in the General Assembly of the World Union of Catholic Women’ s Organizations (WUCWO) today. The pope encouraged the six hundred delegates, who held their meeting in Rome from March 17 to 21, to pay “particular” attention to the “defenceless unborn children who in many cases are deprived of all legal protection.”

The pope said, “Your Union exists to … voice, even in international forums, and insist that every life is a gift from God and deserves to be respected.”
