VATICAN CITY, Jan 17 (LifeSiteNews) – The Catholic News Service reported that a regional government decision affecting the city of Rome which grants homosexual partners and other cohabiters some of the same rights as married couples was condemned by the pope. On Thursday, during a meeting with civil authorities, he said: “I ask authorities to avoid any initiative which could favor or guarantee legal equality between the family and other forms of living together.” “A natural society is founded on matrimony,” he observed.
