MEDIA FILES, Feb 15 (Lifesitenews.com) – Controversy is swirling around allegations by U.S. Evangelical minister Jerry Falwell that a star of the popular children’s program “Teletubbies” is a homosexual character. Recent evidence, however, indicates that homosexuals see him in the same light. Teletubbies is distributed in North America by PBS (Public Broadcasting System).

Tinky Winky is a purple “teletubby” and carries a purse. All the teletubbies have an image protruding above their heads. The image protruding from Tinky Winky is a purple triangle. (Pink)  triangles are a common gay-pride symbol observed Rev. Falwell. According to CNS (Conservative News Service) a “Gay Teletubby” webpage refers to Tinky Winky as “the unofficial gay Teletubby.”  Also, the Washington Blade, a leading American homosexual publication, reports that Tinky Winky “has become something of a Gay icon among British viewers.”
