NEW YORK, Aug 28 (LSN) – In a news report issued late yesterday, the Catholic Family and Human Rights Institute (CAFHRI) exposed a recent study by the Washington-based Population Action International (PAI)  calling for more abortions in Africa as a remedy to the 3% population growth which PAI claims is a leading cause of poverty and disease.  Responsible demographic researchers have long since exposed as mythology so-called links between high population and poverty. CAFHRI notes, for example, that the average population density in Africa is about the same as that of the US state of Minnesota. Minnesota, however, does not suffer the same degree of poverty as that which faces so many Africans today.  According to CAFHRI the extremist anti-natal study entitled “Africa’s Population Challenge: Accelerating Progress in Reproductive Health” calls for the sterilization of African women, “ensuring that the legal system supports efforts to implement reproductive health (abortion) programs,” and the dissemination of “reproductive health”(abortion) information to adolescents.  For excellent pro-life information on the efforts of population control groups in Africa see the Information Project for Africa at:  https://www.africa2000.com/INDX/indx.htm   To view the population control group’s study go to:  https://www.populationaction.org/programs/afpop/afpop_index.htm
