“The federal government should adopt a population policy for Canada that is consistent with the principles of sustainability…I recognize that this is an emotional subject that many people don’t want to hear about…But we have to talk about it if we are going to work toward a population the environment can sustain…We might not be able to avoid a one-child policy …China gets a lot of criticism, but we forget that they adopted their policy for good reasons.”
