(LifeSiteNews) — 34-year-old pro-abortion pop singer Rihanna, currently pregnant with her first child, has affirmed the personhood of her unborn baby, said her body was creating “a life,” and expressed her astonishment at tracking her child’s growth and development in the womb, saying, “God really does not make a mistake.”

Rihanna, who protested a pro-life law in Alabama in 2019 and has come out in support of radically pro-abortion President Joe Biden, told a reporter last month that she feels “very beautiful,” and that “it’s from inside.”

“All these changes that your body is going through is for — you’re creating this person — like, a life,” the pregnant pop star said.

“Even when I’m reading all the apps and I’m finding out what my body is doing and what the baby is doing this week — it freaks me out, like God really does not make a mistake,” Rihanna continued. “Everything is for a reason. I’m enjoying it and I’m appreciating everything.”

Rihanna’s seemingly pro-life comments conflict with her prior advocacy.

In addition to publicly criticizing a 2019 Alabama law making most abortions illegal in the state, The Daily Wire pointed out that Rihanna’s charity organization, The Clara Lionel Foundation, had worked with abortion provider Planned Parenthood.

“If Rihanna really is creating ‘this person’ and has ‘a life’ inside, and ‘God really does not make a mistake’ — then why would it be okay for any unborn baby to be killed?” queried Daily Wire writer Amanda Prestigiacomo. “When does life start according to Rihanna? When the baby is wanted?”

In her Thursday article, Prestigiacomo compared Rihanna’s comments to those made by model Chrissy Teigen in 2020 after she miscarried her baby boy at 20 weeks gestation.

Teigen, a supporter of Planned Parenthood and legalized abortion, said the unborn child (whom she had named Jack while he was in the womb) would always be a part of her family.

After news broke about the tragic death of Teigen’s unborn son, Planned Parenthood, responsible for the deaths of millions of unborn babies, drew controversy for tweeting in October, 2020, “We’re so sorry to hear that Chrissy Teigen and John Legend lost their son, and we admire them for sharing their story.”

“It seems, according to our elites, unborn babies of the rich and famous are worthy of life, and perhaps it’s a different story for the less affluent,” Prestigiacomo remarked.
