FORT WORTH, Texas, June 23 (LifeSiteNews.com) – The Committee of Church Orders and Ministry of the Presbyterian Church voted 24-14 in favour of scrapping a clause from the church’s constitution that forbids the ordination of “self-affirming, practicing homosexuals.” The issue will go to the annual meeting of the church’s assembly for a vote later this week. A majority vote in favour of the action will allow practicing homosexuals to become part of the church’s hierarchy.
