WASHINGTON, March 14, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) – President George W. Bush issued a statement yesterday praising the U.S. Senate for passing legislation to ban partial-birth abortion.  The President said “partial-birth abortion is an abhorrent procedure that offends human dignity.”  Moreover, the President’s short remarks indicate that he sees the legislation only as only an incremental measure in the work towards full pro-life legislation.  “Today’s action is an important step toward building a culture of life in America,” he said.  See his remarks from the White House website:  https://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2003/03/20030313-3.html
