WASHINGTON, Jan 15, 2001 (LSN.ca) – In an interview with the New York Times published Sunday, President-Elect George Bush indicated that he may cut funding to pro-abortion groups. “Organizations that promote abortions are organizations I don’t want to support” with American tax funds, said Bush. The New York Post reports that Bush’s first step may be to undo a Clinton deal made in October to give $425 million in federal funds to pro-abortion groups. The deal included a delay in the spending until Feb. 15 so the new president could have the final say on the matter.
