WINNIPEG, Mar 22, 2001 (LSN.ca) – Last week, Juergen Severloh, the executive director of the Crisis Pregnancy Centre of Winnipeg discovered that the Centre had been vandalized. Spray painted over the windows of the building in huge yellow letters were the words “Anti-Choice F******”. At least a gallon of blood-red paint was also thrown on the wall and surrounding area making for a gruesome looking scene as the red paint resembles pools of blood.

Severloh says that this is the third such hate-motivated incident directed toward the CPC in the past year. Ten months ago saw a similar graffiti attack with “pro-child, pro-choice” as the slogan and the next, a few weeks later was another mess-making endeavour, but this time without a message. The center has received numerous threatening phone calls forcing the Severlohs to remove their name from the phone book.

Damage and increased security costs for the latest attack amount to some $7,500.
