HONOLULU, Oct 29 (LSN) – An urgent request was released yesterday by the Alliance for Traditional Marriage-Hawaii (ATM) for support in defeating a proposal by the Hawaii Supreme Court to legalize gay marriages in Hawaii. According to ATM Chairman Mike Gabbard “there’s a very real possibility of the traditional marriage constitutional amendment losing on November 3rd.” At minimum $100,000 is needed to cover TV ads, $200,000 would also enable radio and print ads to be used. Homosexual activists have launched a massive $1.5 million propaganda campaign which is being bankrolled by The Human Rights Campaign, the nation’s largest homosexual lobbying group.  In late September Honolulu’s Bishop Francis DiLorenzo sent out an urgent appeal to pro-family supporters to help, and exposed the unfairness of the vote noting that “blank and spoiled ballots count as “no” votes (no to protecting traditional marriage).  Pro-family forces in the state have predicted the following consequences if the courts are allowed to mandate same-sex marriage:  1 – homosexual and lesbian couples will flock to Hawaii to get married.  2 – they will then return to any of the other 49 states in the Union and take legal action under the full faith and credit clause of the U.S. Constitution to have their marriage recognized in their individual homestate.  3 – Major media organizations will broadcast to the nation that Hawaii will offer these ‘benefits’ to homosexual and lesbian couples.  4 – It will be difficult to stop the recognition of such marriages in the other 49 states as an avalanche of legal challenges will flood the court system 5 – You will see “married homosexual or lesbian couples with children” seeking equal benefits, recognition and acceptance in your neighborhoods, schools, churches, government office and every segment of life.  People can make their checks out to: Alliance for Traditional arriage-Hawaii, P.O. Box 27878, Honolulu,  HI 96827. Contributions should be made by bank transfer, or cashier’s check and FED EXd to Mike Gabbard,  55 South Kukui St. #1615, Honolulu, HI 96813. Phone:808-523-8451.
