OTTAWA, September 4, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Responding to mass criticism from constituents over his stand in favour of same-sex ‘marriage’, Winnipeg NDP MP Pat Martin has resorted to name calling to chastise those who object to his stand.  Activated by the nation-side Sanctity of Marriage initiative, mass demonstrations calling on MPs to protect the traditional definition of marriage are planned for 3pm September 7 outside all MPs’ constituency offices.  “The Pharisees have met and have determined that I am evil without ever speaking to me,” said Martin, commenting on the upcoming demonstration. While he acknowledged receiving many complaints for his stand, he was nevertheless unapologetic and insulting.  “I will not apologize to anyone,’’ he said. “Jesus was very firm in his condemnation of the Pharisees and I answer to a higher power than these assholes.’’  (with files from the Winnipeg Free Press September 3, 2003)
