PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania, July 26, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) — Thirty pro-life supporters demonstrated outside the abortion business once operated by Kermit Gosnell, calling out the Democratic National Convention on its pro-abortion plank and appealing to delegates to “Defend Unborn Children!”

A plane flew overheard with the message as a trailing banner with a picture of an aborted baby as demonstrators marched to Gosnell's clinic, seeking to call attention to the extreme support for abortion by presumptive Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

Created Equal also demonstrated outside Independence Hall “to demand that the DNC begin defending preborn children.”

Gosnell became a symbol of the abortion industry's lack of ethics and the government's lack of regulatory oversight in 2011 when his practice was exposed after committing not only illegal late-term abortions but literally birthing live babies in what FBI agents described as “a House of Horrors” and then “snipping” the babies' spines to kill them after birth.

Created Equal National Director Mark Harrington said, “The DNC is the party of Kermit Gosnell.” In an email to LifeSiteNews and included on the group’s press release, Harrington warned, “The U.S. Supreme Court's recent decision on abortion facilities opens the door to more 'Houses of Horror' like what happened at Gosnell's killing center.”

“On abortion, Democrats are extremists,” Harrington said.  “They support infanticide and late-term abortion.”

Gosnell is now serving a life sentence in prison for murder, as well as for the manslaughter of a woman seeking an abortion who died.

“We must never, ever forget what happened here,” Dr. Monique Ruberu told Philly.com.  “Only one candidate is pro-life … (and) we must vote for life.”

Among the demonstrators was Rev. Clenard Childress of LEARN, a national black pro-life organization. He pointed out that it is illogical for Planned Parenthood to proclaim “Black Lives Matter” and “target” African-American babies for abortion.

“You're a hypocrite unless you deal with the 1,700 African-American children killed each day by abortion,” Rev. Childress said.

Created Equal will also demonstrate Tuesday night outside a Planned Parenthood watch party, dubbed “Sex, Politics and Cocktails,” where abortion supporters will view Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards’ address to the Democratic National Convention live.

The group's press release reads, “Created Equal will put trucks, TV trailers, handheld signs, and the best group of activists on the streets in Philly to oppose Planned Parenthood's child-killing.”
