CHICAGO, Jan 4 (LifeSiteNews.com)  On December 28, the Christian Feast of the Holy Innocents, the Pro-Life Action League began placing billboards along major highways around the nation’s capital today asking commuters to “See the world through the eyes of a child”… and to “Choose Life.” In a press release distributed in Canada by pro-life E-news, Joseph Scheidler, leader of the group said “The Pro-Life Action League asks Americans to take another look at the terrible choice of abortion.”

“It’s our prayer that everyone who sees the billboards, especially pregnant women, will consider the viewpoint of a child who only wants a chance to live.”

The billboards, which feature an 800 number (1-800-395-HELP) where a woman can get help with a problem pregnancy, will be up for the anniversary of the Supreme Court decision that decriminalized abortion on Jan. 22, 1973.

“Two thousand years ago, King Herod ordered all male children in Bethlehem under the age of two killed in a vain attempt to destroy the infant Jesus, but love ultimately triumphed,” noted Scheidler. “Today, as innocents are sacrificed on the altar of ‘choice,’ we hope that love again will prevail over death and that many lives will be saved.”
