SOUTH BEND, Indiana, Sept 9 (LSN) – Catholic World News reported Monday that pro-life groups and University of Notre Dame alumni held a demonstration on Saturday to protest the hiring of pro-abortion former New Jersey Democrat Sen. Bill Bradley to teach at the Catholic university. The Pro-Life Action League and other groups rented two airplanes and flew banners over Notre Dame’s opening football game informing the school that “Sen. Bill Bradley backed abortion,” and urging that “N.D. drop Sen. Bill Bradley.” Prof. Charles Rice, of the Notre Dame Law School said “Bradley’s appointment is indefensible, it sends a message to the students that it is acceptable and even commendable for a legislator to support abortion.”
