Pro-Life PEI Conservative Premier Wins Third Majority Government

CHARLOTTETOWN, PEI, September 30, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Premier Pat Binns has won his third straight majority government, a feat not accomplished since the 1800s.  Binns’ Conservative Government lost only four of the 27 seats in the Legislature to the Liberals.  PEI is the only province in Canada that does not permit abortions and the only one with a pro-life premier.  “It demonstrates once again that a pro-life stand is not a detriment to running for office,” commented Mary-Ellen Douglas of Campaign Life Coalition.
