OTTAWA, Dec 7 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Progressive Conservative Party National Director Susan Elliot sent out a special report on November 23 in which she branded pro-life/pro-family Reform MP Eric Lowther a “single issue zealot.” However, Elliot’s slam on the Lowther’s pro-family character was met with strong backlash from PC party members. An unnamed previous PC candidate, past riding association president and PC member for over 15 years responded to Elliot’s letter saying he was greatly offended by “the negative inference of branding Eric Lowther a ‘single issue zealot’.

After noting his pro-family support, the long-time PC supporter wrote: “I expect this from the media but I cannot, nor will I support any party that will use such anti-family slander. If you want my support and my annual contribution you will do something about this and soon.”
