LITTLE ROCK, Feb 23, 2001 (LSN.ca) – On Wednesday, Arkansas Republican Governor Mike Huckabee signed the ‘Right to Know’ Act into law. The law requires that women seeking to abort their babies receive information on alternatives to abortion as well as the on the risks of abortion. The Arkansas Democrat Gazette reported yesterday that Gov. Huckabee commented on the new legislation saying: “One of the reasons we’re signing this bill today is God answered the prayers of those who want to respect life. …thank the Lord, it has become law.” (Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, https://www.ardemgaz.com/, 2/22).
